The sample MIF files in this directory are discussed in the online
manual "MIF Reference," which you can open by using Acrobat Reader.

When you open a MIF file in a Frame product, the MIF interpreter reads
the MIF instructions to create a formatted Frame document. To see how
a Frame product interprets a sample file in this directory:

1. Choose Open from the main Frame product window.
2. Specify a filename in the Open dialog box.
3. Click OK.

To examine the MIF statements in these files, use a text editor to
open them or open them as text files in a Frame product.

To open a MIF file as a text file in a Frame product:

1. Choose Open from the main Frame product window.
2. Specify a filename in the Open dialog box.
3. Hold down Shift (on Macintosh, use the Option key) and click OK.

Note that the file coffee.mif is different from the other MIF files.
This file is an example of a file that you can include in another MIF
file by using the MIF include statement. If you open this file as a
document in a Frame product, the MIF interpreter treats it as a text
file rather than interpreting the contents, and you'll see a dialog.
Select Treat Each Line As a Paragraph and click Read to see the contents
of the MIF file. (On Windows, you may be given the option of opening
the file as MIF, but this will produce an error.)

To see how a Frame product interprets coffee.mif, you must include it
in another MIF file. For more information, see the discussion of
including template files in the online manual "MIF Reference."
